William C Neuhaus served as a Field Artillery Gunner in

year was awarded with the First Annual "Home Town Hero" Award,
at the Town of Clifton Park 4th of July celebration. Presented

from Clifton Park Center. The gift pack was valued at $1,300.00
in goods and services from participating merchants.
In an interview, Mr. Neuhaus stated he didn't mind the fireworks
being postponed because of the weather, as he put it "because
as a field artillery gunner I shot 16,215 rounds at the enemy,
so fireworks don't mean a thing...."

DECEMBER
RE-CAP

Gina Peca
, President of the Catie Hoch Foundation
(holding check) is presented with a donation from DCG Development
of Clifton Park and First Niagara. The monies were
raised by collecting all the coins in the water fountain
at
Clifton
Park
Center
, a property of DCG Development. Don Greene, owner/operator
of the mall chose the foundation to be the recipient. First
Niagara
was responsible for all the counting of the coins which
totaled over 120 pounds. $500 donations were also
received from both companies bringing the total to $2250.
Catie
Hoch Foundation Receives Donation
December 12, 2006 – The Catie Hoch Foundation was the
recipient of a recent donation made by
Clifton
Park
Center
, DCG Development and First Niagara,
Clifton
Park
.
.
For many years customers shopping at
Clifton
Park
Center
tossed coins into the mall’s water fountain. This
fall DCG Development, new owner/operator of the mall, as
part of the ongoing renovation efforts, cleaned out the fountain
and collected over 120 pounds of loose change. Uniting
with DCG Development, First Niagara offered their services
to count up the large quantity of coins. Don Greene,
owner/operator of the mall looked to the local community
and chose the Catie Hoch Foundation to be the recipient.
To receive the check,
Gina Peca
, President of the Catie Hoch Foundation, met with representatives
from all three companies for the check presentation at the
updated fountain in Clifton Park Center (see photo). Peca
said, “The generosity is overwhelming. First
DCG Development chose to place the monies raised back into
the community by choosing us and First Niagara offered to
take the time to count the coins, no small task. But then
DCG Development and First Niagara generously matched each
other’s additional donations of $500 each bringing
the total to $2,250 for our foundation.”
Clifton
Park
Center
also presented Peca with a plaque that will be placed fountain
side in recognition of the donation efforts.
